However the CGHS Board and Executive Team believe the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff is integral to achieving this Mission.
VGHS CEO Frank Evans said the service was committed to the health and wellbeing of staff.
“So I am pleased to announce that in early November, we will launch our first CGHS ‘Healthy Together Framework’,” Mr Evans said.
“The launch will kick off our first WELLvember, a CGHS initiative whereby we are encouraging everyone to participate in a month of events and activities around the themes of health and wellbeing, as well as providing staff support services.
“We want feedback from these events and activities as to what people believe should be an ongoing part of our workplace.
“The launch on November 4 will be held in the staff cafeteria where are invite everyone to enjoy a healthy free lunch.”
The Staff and Wellbeing Group has been working on this framework for over two years. It is a key component of the CGHS strategy which is to develop a comprehensive staff health and wellbeing plan that is sustainable into the future.
“The framework will be all encompassing from our values and culture, right through to our HR systems in supporting our people,” Mr Evans said.
“Embedding a health, safety and wellbeing approach into our planning and our activities creates a robust and sustainable safety culture.
“So I urge as many staff as possible to attend the launch. More details on this and the activities and events throughout November will be provided in the next CGHS Matters.”
