CGHS Community Liaison Group


The CGHS Community Liaison Group (CLG) is the key community and consumer advisory group for Central Gippsland Health Service (CGHS). The CLG is responsible to the Health Service Board and supports the Board and other consumer groups such as the CGHS Chronic Disease and Disability Network, in the development and implementation of appropriate community and consumer participation strategies relating to:

•          The identification and understanding of community health needs;

•          The operational planning for the programming and servicing of the community’s health needs;

•          The development of CGHS’s policies, procedures and programming;

•          Continuous quality improvement and quality accreditation;

•          Community health development and self-supporting health initiatives; and

•          CLG members’ leadership development for community and consumer participation

 The CLG is Chaired and Vice Chaired by Community Representatives.

 The Community Liaison Group meets on the third Wednesday of every month in the Lecture Hall of the Community Services Building at 4.30pm.  If you are interested to know more about the Community Liaison Group please contact CGHS Community Network Support Officer on 5143 8833.

 

CGHS Chronic Disease and Disability Network

 

The Chronic Disease and Disability Network (CDDN) provides advice to Central Gippsland Health Service (CGHS) as it reviews and improves client care coordination practices and systems across the acute, community and aged care services. Members of the Network have a chronic disease or disability, or is a carer of a person with a chronic disease or disability.

 The CDDN is Chaired and Vice Chaired by Community Representatives.

 The Chronic Disease and Disability Network meets on the second Wednesday of every month in the Conference Room of the Community Services Building at 2pm.  If you are interested to know more about the Chronic Disease and Disability Network please contact CGHS Community Network Support Officer on 5143 8833.

 

Rosedale Community Health Centre Advisory Committee


At Gippsland Health Service a key goal for the organisation is to strengthen consumer participation, where consumers and carers are involved in strategic decision making. An Advisory Committee comprised of community members representing the Rosedale Community Health Centre supports this goal.

 The advisory committee advises on the appropriateness of community health activities and provides community feedback to the organisation.  Members are aware of Central Gippsland Health Service plans and priorities and contribute to these. They identify and examine the needs of the locality of Rosedale in relation to community health programs and act as a forum to explore issues in the delivery of care to the community of Rosedale.

 The Rosedale Community Health Centre Advisory Committee is Chaired and Vice Chaired by Community Representatives.

 The Rosedale Community Health Centre Advisory Committee meets every second month on a Wednesday at the Community Health Centre.  If you are interested to know more about the Rosedale Community Health Centre Advisory Committee please contact CGHS Community Network Support Officer on 5143 8833.

 

CGHS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee

The Central Gippsland Health Service Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee (CGHS ATSI) is key in providing direction to CGHS to achieve its strategic goal: “enhancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s health and wellbeing”. CGHS will listen and receive direction from CGHS ATSI Committee to:

  • Build relationships between the community and the health service
  • Receive advice on specific issues
  • Receive support to address the strategies contained in the Aboriginal Health Plan.
